Bloom Series: Poem 3
The wind blew across the yellow with fury
Like chaos on a stretch of plains
The ringing grew louder and louder in the open air
Out of stillness, movement sparked a blinding shine
A melody arose among the trees
She floated through the branches, a maze of thin blades
Toward the clouds that hung high and soft
She was weightless and free
She painted along the brushes of stars
Cold to the touch and distant from the earth
She gazed down at the butterflies who flew fearlessly
In the shadows the leaves whispered to one another
Warm steam rose against the tall reeds
Figures fell and danced to the sounds
Smiling to herself, she watched her glimmer float below
She returned to the soil and sat still another morning
