Rise Series: Poem 2
Among the white and light
She looked down on the earth painted below
Its many seasons melted in the warmth
And time made a morning into eternity
One foot in front of the other
She skipped across the wind
That carried her afloat the clouds
Whose soft and fluffy touch supported her flight
The richness of the earth rose
The horizon smiled upon it’s flowers
The soil sang in the summer that breathed deeply
Clear and pure, the trees grew taller into the sky
She lay and watch, eager and wide eyed
For the new life was just coming into focus
From above, it was bountiful and joyous
Notes crossed between the valleys and lifted to the stars
Flipping the pages of the years the seasons sung
Many beautiful souls flashed upon the mountain’s edge
The climb hidden by the lush and behind the view
She floated with hope, that the air would always be this full of life
