Sway Series: Poem 1
The morning bubbles danced to the surface
Clear and glimmering at the sun’s smiles
Upon the ripples she floated
Side to side, colors became deeper among the fresh foam
Empty and careless, she was light
The wind carried her with ease
Her cold and crisp shell burst into the warmth of the sails
She was weightless, she was beautifully whole
An endless afternoon where time stood still
The grains of sand mingled at the edge
Over and over, a loud crash reminded the shore
Once more the moon would shine and the sun would sit with love
Blue and bright, she stretched far into the brush
She was seen, she was strong
Swaying along with the stars in the sea
She wasn’t afraid to shine, wishing the sun would never set
Overflowing and overflowing, her heart glowed with bliss
Swirling and singing, the world blushed upon her figure
She was free and the sky gave her glow
